GMTV launches new online coupon programme

Every week GMTV reaches 13 million people in its 6am to 9.25am TV slot, interspersing news and current affairs with celebrity interviews and features. All of which is backed up on the website by a mix of advice, video clips, competitions, and user generated content. Using Couponstar’s CouponNET™ network, a “white label” platform for distributing coupons and vouchers via the internet, GMTV is able to expand its brand beyond 9.25am to match the 24/7 lifestyle it promotes.

GMTV was keen to develop its web activities to maximise its partnerships with affiliate organisations and encourage higher interactivity with its viewers. With 75% of GMTV’s users being females over 25 and 70% of these having at least two children, tips on how to run the household more efficiently and save money on the weekly shopping bill are key areas of interest to GMTV’s web visitors. And it was these areas that GMTV identified as key strengths of Couponstar’s CouponNET™ offering. CouponNET™ allows GMTV’s viewers to save money on a range of grocery, pharmaceutical and retail brands including Ocean Spray, Emmi, Pedigree, and Colgate.
