Couponstar enhances security for its printable coupons

5 June 2007 | Source: Creative Match
Couponstar, provider of consumer-printed coupon marketing and technology solutions, announces the release of a significant upgrade to its coupon printing software.

With the upgrade, Couponstar is introducing a fresh, improved look to what has become the industry standard format for printable coupons. Over 50 brands to date have standardised on Couponstar solutions for coupons printed from the internet.

Drawing on over five years of experience enabling consumers to print secure manufacturer coupons, the updated coupon printing software allows for more colourful coupons and the ability to print specialty coupon formats, like store coupons and rebate forms, as well as other secure documents like tickets and certificates. The new security features draw on techniques used in the most secure documents such as currency to continue the Couponstar distinction of unparalleled resistance to mal-redemption and fraud.

Jared Keen, MD Couponstar, said: “We listened to our clients, retailers, industry security experts and consumers to make sure we are making our coupons better for everyone in the couponing chain.”

The new coupons also have improvements designed to make them even easier for retailers and clearinghouses to accept and process, giving retail customers a better experience with printable coupons. Every Couponstar printable coupon has a unique code that can be tracked throughout the distribution, redemption, and clearing process, without requiring any personal information to be collected from the consumer. The additional security and easy-to-spot visual changes can help retailers identify trusted coupons quickly and keep lines moving.

Consumers will automatically receive the updated printing software when they print a coupon from a Couponstar affiliated website, such as www.couponnet.co.uk. Once the software is updated, consumers just pick, click, and print from any of the over 150 active coupons currently available online. The coupon printer software is fully backward compatible with all existing coupons and coupon programs.

Couponstar currently works with over 50 brands, including some of the world’s leading consumer packaged goods manufacturers, retailers, digital marketing and sales promotion agencies as well as media owners.
