Online and mobile voucher campaigns target convenience retail
Couponstar and digital voucher service i-movo have teamed up to provide retailers with a coupon campaign that will work using the PayPoint retail network.
Brands using the campaign have not been announced, but Couponstar expects the service to interest 300 companies in the convenience retail sector.
Consumers will receive coupons via internet or mobile phone. The printable, online coupons will feature a unique barcode that can be scanned at any of the 22,000 PayPoint retailers.
The digital vouchers work the same as a one-use-only coupon and allow retailers to track coupon activity.
"The security of the system allows brands to deliver compelling coupon campaigns of high value to consumers with correspondingly high redemption rates but without the fear of the campaign going uncontrollably viral and without the associated financial exposure," says Couponstar managing director Jared Keen.
